Sai See anchored in Dartmouth

Design and history:

Sai See is based on the legendary and revolutionary Finisterre designed by Sparkman & Stephens and raced with great success by Carleton Mitchell. She is a very strongly built cruising version of the original, constructed of Burma teak in Hong Kong for Group Captain Ingle, Royal Cruising Club. She changed hands in 1966 and again in 1975. She was bought by Christopher Thornhill, Royal Cruising Club, in 1981 and has been sailed, as a family cruising yacht ever since, mostly in NW Europe and the N Atlantic. ‘Mod Cons’ are conspicuously absent.
